COFFEE AND WINGS (1394 words, Fantasy)
I’m on a date with a fairy. I mean, she says she’s a fairy, but I think she might just be screwing with me. I also think that maybe we’re not really on a date, exactly. It’s been a weird night. See, when I met her, she was just wandering around Central Park, looking confused. It looked like she was around my age—I figured maybe she was a freshman at NYU who hadn’t figured out how to navigate the park yet. So I asked her if she was lost, and she said she’d “lost the door”. What do you say to something like that? Figuring I’d play along, I offered to help her find it, and she just shook her head and told me that only fairies can see it.
